This documentary is a long-overdue tribute to the life and work of Cheikh Anta Diop, arguably the greatest African scholar and intellectual of the 20th century. He was an anthropologist, Egyptologist, historian, linguist, political statesman, physicist, and sociologist. Interviews with his family, colleagues, and critics and film footage of him during his lifetime inform viewers about this African intellectual giant, whose ideas, writing, and legacy are still relevant today.

In Wolof and French with English subtitles.

Followed by a panel discussion.
